    An intensive 4-credit lecture/laboratory course for foundational training in general biology. The laboratories feature several hands-on molecular genetics experiments including CRISPR gene editing.

  • Cell & Molecular Physiology

    A deep dive into cell and molecular biology in this 3 credit lecture only course. I am currently working on developing a laboratory that goes with this course, with the aim of launching this in coming semesters.

  • Molecular BioTechniques

    Rigorous semester-long laboratory course unlike any other that you’ve taken. This is a course-based research experience (CURE) designed to give students hands-on research training applying cutting-edge technologies. Students work in small teams on a single research project which is original and aimed to generate critical scientific data. Designed as a capstone experience, this course prepares you for a transition into advanced research in academia or the biotechnology industry.

  • Chemical Biology

    Advanced studies on the chemistry of life, macromolecular structure & function, enzymology, and metabolism. Students are introduced to structural analysis tools like PyMol which is used to analyze the structure-function relationship of key enzymes in the metabolic pathways.
